Products Description
Zinc Oxide Desulfurization Catalysts are widely used in the purification process of industrial raw gas (oil) such as hydrogen production, synthetic ammonia, synthetic alcohols, and synthetic organic chemical products. The hydrogen sulfide content of various raw gas (oil) treated with sulfur compound zinc adsorbent can be reduced to below 0.05-0.1ppm. Its product quality has been approved by ICI company, and its performance has exceeded the level of imported similar products, and it has been designated as a substitute for imported products by the former Ministry of Chemical Industry and China Petrochemical Corporation. The catalyst won the Golden Dragon Award in 1983. In 1984, it won the third prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Chemical Industry.

Product Advantage
The product also has the conversion and absorption capacity for simple organic sulfides such as COS and CS2. Zinc Oxide desulfurizer has the characteristics of high sulfur capacity, high activity and high strength, even under more harsh conditions, it can maintain a high activity and sulfur capacity, and has the characteristics of high water vapor resistance.
Poisonous Substance
Oxygen: the oxygen content in the feed gas (oil) should not be greater than 0.5%, otherwise it will affect the penetrating sulfur capacity.
Chlorine: the existence of various forms of chlorine, can affect the desulfurization effect.
Desulphurization Agent loading
Loading height: the ratio of desulfurizer loading height to tower diameter should be about 3 to ensure that the gas has enough residence time on the desulfurizer. If the twin towers can be used in series, the utilization efficiency of desulfurization can also be improved.
Loading Method:
Before loading, all sundries in the net desulfurization tower must be removed.
The desulfurizer is screened to screen out the dust.
The desulfurizer should be loaded with refractory balls above and below, and the refractory ball and the desulfurizer are separated by a stainless steel wire mesh with a mesh hole smaller than the particle size of the desulfurizer.
With special tools, the desulfurizer can be evenly filled into the center and around the tower.
When the desulfurizer is loaded, it should be checked whether the filling is flat and uniform. If people need to enter the tower to work, they must first lay wooden boards on the desulfurizer, and people step on the wooden boards to work.
The surface of the desulfurizer at the top of the tower should be covered with a layer of stainless steel wire mesh and a 50mm refractory ball to prevent the gas flow from blowing away the desulfurizer and make the air flow evenly distributed.
Start up
Replacement system with nitrogen or other inert gas is considered qualified after having <0.5% oxygen in the gas.
At atmospheric pressure or pressure with nitrogen or nitrogen hydrogen, relaxation gas, syngas and other raw materials for heating.
Temperature speed: room temperature ~120℃ / h 20~30℃, constant temperature of 120℃ for 2 hours; 30~50℃ / h above 120℃, to the required temperature. After that, a constant temperature for 4 hours.
At constant temperature, the desulfurizer can gradually increase by 0.5MPa every 10 minutes until the operating pressure is reached. After the heating and boost, about 4 hours to adjust the temperature. Pressure, flow, etc., after the operation is stable, gradually increase the load, transferred to normal production. If the pressure is first and heated up, it must be strictly controlled in strict accordance with the above requirements, because the adjustment range is too large, it will cause stress, leading to the powder of desulfurizer. The operating temperature is gradually over the range of use to increase the sulfur capacity.
Stop
◆ Temporary Stop
Cut off the feed gas (oil). Close the inlet valve, outlet valve, heat preservation, pressure holding. If the system leaks, nitrogen or hydrogen nitrogen must be used to maintain pressure to prevent negative pressure in the system.
◆ Replace the desulfurizer
Use raw material gas (oil) or nitrogen (hydrogen nitrogen, relaxation gas) to cool and depressurize, and after it is reduced to normal pressure, isolate the desulfurization tower from the production system, replace the desulfurization tower with air, until the oxygen content in the gas is > 20%, and the furnace temperature is not considered qualified. Then open the desulfurization tower and remove the desulfurizer.
◆ Servicing equipment
The steps are the same as above, but the bucking speed is 0.5MPa every 10 minutes, and the cooling speed is controlled at 50°C/h.
The unloaded desulfurizer is best stored in layers, and each layer is taken from representative samples for sulfur capacity analysis, so that according to the analysis results, the use and duration of this batch of desulfurizer can be judged.
Packaging, Transportation and Storage
The catalyst should be packed with iron bucket or paper bucket lined with plastic bags. Avoid collision and roll as far as possible to smash the catalyst and damage the package. Store in a dry place.
