SAPO-11 molecular sieve has an AEL structure and belongs to the orthorhombic crystal system. Its skeleton is mainly formed by the interweaving of AlO2-, PO2+, and SiO2 tetrahedra, with elliptical ten membered ring one-dimensional straight channels.

Description

 

SAPO-11 molecular sieve has AEI structure and belongs to the orthogonal crystal system. Its skeleton is mainly formed by tetrahedron interweaving with each other being composed of P\SI\AL atoms and has an elliptic Ten-membered ring and a one-dimensional straight ring channel. Because of its weak acidity, it is often used in catalytic cracking reaction in petrochemical industry to improve the octane number of gasoline.

SAPO-11 can used in:

1. Low carbon olefin isomerization.

2. It is used to prepare catalysts for catalytic cracking to improve octane number of gasoline and for hydroisomerization and dewaxing of lubricating oil.

3. Isodewaxing of diesel and base oil.

4. Iron or cobalt catalysts are used in combination with SAPO-11 molecular sieves to convert syngas into gasoline components above C5, improving process selectivity and product quality.

5. Alkylation of aromatic hydrocarbons with branched group.

Applications

 

The weak acidity and suitable pore size of SAPO-11 molecular sieve endow it with good isomerization performance.

SAPO-11 molecular sieve has high activity and selectivity in reactions such as n-butene isomerization and long-chain n-alkane hydroisomerization, and can be widely used in catalytic cracking to increase gasoline octane number and lubricating oil hydrodewaxing and pour point reduction.
