ZSM-35 molecular sieve is an important member of the molecular sieve spectrum, belonging to the FER type framework topology structure along with magnesium alkali zeolite (natural zeolite), which has suitable pore size, good activity, and excellent shape selectivity [1-2]. Therefore, it has been widely studied and applied in the field of catalysis, especially in the isomerization reaction of n-butene to isobutene, showing excellent shape selectivity, It is one of the important catalytic materials in shape selective reactions in the petrochemical industry. After Mobil Oil successfully synthesized ZSM-35 molecular sieve using hydrothermal method for the first time, more and more organic compounds were used as templates for the synthesis of ZSM-35 molecular sieve. However, using organic compounds as templates is costly and not environmentally friendly. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the research of ZSM-35 molecular sieve, with a focus on the key factors in the synthesis of ZSM-35 molecular sieve, the role of various template agents in the synthesis reaction, and the synthesis of high silicon ZSM-35 molecular sieve. Green synthesis patents have emerged one after another, and the performance of ZSM-35 molecular sieve has been further explored and expanded. Applications

 

ZSM-35 has a unique pore structure and excellent separation performance in mixtures of benzene/p-xylene, n-butane/isobutane, and water/organic acids; The appropriate acidity distribution enables it to be well applied in catalytic processes.

ZSM-35 is mainly used for isomerization (such as isomerization of n-butene to isobutene, isomerization of xylene), alkylation and aromatization of aromatics, olefin oligomerization, upgrading of reforming fluid and naphtha, catalytic cracking, and reducing pour point of fuel oil.
