Product Brief

High-Stability Aqueous FEP Dispersion HD923: Low-VOC, uniform coating & strong PTFE bonding. Excels in high-temp/corrosive environments, ideal for industrial coating, electrical insulation & composites.

Product Overview

HD923 is a premium water-based fluoropolymer dispersion, containing submicron FEP copolymer particles stabilized by non-ionic surfactants. It overcomes solid FEP's processing limits, enabling easy application on complex/porous substrates via coating/dipping. With low VOC emissions (RoHS compliant), it retains FEP's core advantages: 200°C continuous heat resistance, chemical inertness, excellent insulation, and low friction, serving high-performance eco-friendly coating needs.

Product Details

Key Properties
● Thermal Stability: 200°C continuous service, 240°C peak; C-F bond structure resists thermal degradation, outperforming acrylic coatings.
● Chemical Inertness: Inert to strong acids, bases, solvents; more stable than PVDF dispersions in harsh chemical environments.
● Electrical Insulation: Dielectric constant ≤2.15 (10⁶Hz), dissipation factor ≤7.0×10⁻⁴, suitable for high-voltage components.
● Dispersion Stability: Proprietary surfactants prevent aggregation for 6 months; ±5% coating thickness tolerance (ASTM D3159 verified).
● PTFE Bonding: Shear strength ≥1.2 MPa with PTFE, solving non-adhesion challenges for industrial assemblies.
● Eco-Friendly: Water-based, ultra-low VOC, compliant with RoHS/REACH; safe for high-volume production.

FABE Core Analysis

Feature (F)
Milky/yellowish liquid; solid content 50±2%; 2 grades (A: 0.8~5 g/10min melt index; B: 5.1~10 g/10min); 200°C continuous use; low-VOC, RoHS compliant.

Advantage (A)
More stable than standard FEP dispersions; easier to apply than solid FEP; safer than solvent-based coatings; tailored grades for thick/thin coatings; uniform coating reduces defects.

Benefit (B)
Reduces compliance & defect costs for manufacturers; extends equipment life in chemical processing; ensures reliable electrical performance; expands PTFE fabrication flexibility.

Evidence (E)
RoHS/REACH/ASTM D3159 certified; 60% lower corrosion maintenance cost for chemical reactors; 1.2 MPa PTFE bonding strength; passes 10kV insulation test for aerospace PWBs.

FAQ

1. Suitable application methods?

Spray, dip, brush, roll coating. Dip for porous substrates, spray for large flat metals. We provide detailed application guides.

2. Difference between Grade A/B?

A (0.8~5 g/10min, pH 7.0~9.0): thick coatings (≥50μm); B (5.1~10 g/10min, pH 8.0~10.0): thin coatings (≤50μm)/high-speed processing.

3. Can it bond non-PTFE substrates?

Yes, bonds metals, glass, PEEK. Light sanding for smooth non-porous substrates; no pre-treatment for porous ones.

4. Special curing equipment needed?

Conventional 300~380°C oven suffices. Cure time: 5~8min (≤20μm film), 10~15min (≥50μm film). Custom curing schedules available.
