Description

PFA Film is a high-performance fluoropolymer film offering exceptional chemical resistance, high thermal stability, and excellent optical and surface properties. It is designed for demanding applications requiring purity, durability, and long-term reliability in aggressive chemical and high-temperature environments.

PFA film is widely used in applications where conventional plastic films fail due to chemical attack, high temperatures, or strict purity requirements. As a fully fluorinated thermoplastic, PFA offers an outstanding balance of processability and extreme performance, making it a preferred choice for advanced industrial and electronic applications.

From a processing perspective, PFA resin can be melt-extruded into films with excellent thickness uniformity and smooth surface finish. Unlike PTFE films produced by skiving or sintering, PFA films benefit from thermoplastic processing, allowing tighter dimensional control and more consistent quality. This makes PFA film suitable for both thin-gauge and thicker functional films.

In terms of chemical resistance, PFA film demonstrates near-universal inertness. It resists strong acids, bases, solvents, oxidizing agents, and corrosive gases across a wide temperature range. This property makes it ideal for use as a protective barrier, release film, or lining layer in aggressive chemical environments.

Thermally, PFA film maintains excellent performance at continuous operating temperatures up to approximately 260°C. It retains mechanical integrity, flexibility, and dielectric properties under prolonged thermal exposure, making it suitable for high-temperature insulation and processing applications.

From a mechanical and surface property standpoint, PFA film offers good tensile strength, flexibility, and excellent stress crack resistance. Its low surface energy provides outstanding non-stick and release characteristics, while its smooth surface minimizes particle adhesion and contamination risks. Additionally, PFA film exhibits excellent electrical insulation properties, supporting use in electronic and semiconductor environments.
